Wrecking Ball Music & Books at 15 Whitefriargate, Hull, is also home to the Wrecking Ball Arts Centre.
Ideally located and the perfect space for arts and cultural events, this first-floor city centre venue, with a licensed bar and capacity of 110, hosts book launches, spoken word, poetry, theatre, performance, live music, quizzes and film screenings. Wrecking Ball Music & Books also plays host to arts events in our fully accessible ground floor venue, in-store book signings and launch events and the store’s ground floor is also home to the Wrecking Ball café.
Wrecking Ball Music & Books and first floor venue Wrecking Ball Arts Centre are located on Whitefriargate in the heart of Hull’s city centre. We are a short walk away from Hull’s Paragon Interchange.
Whitefriargate is a pedestrianised street. There are limited pay and display car parking bays nearby, which are free after 6pm. The nearest car park is located at Zebedee’s Yard, Posterngate, Hull, HU1 2EX. Please note that Zebedee’s Yard car park closes at 9.30pm, parking is strictly limited to three hours, is not extendable and no return is allowed within 120 minutes.
The nearest council car park is Albion Street pay and display car park, which is open Monday – Sunday 8am–11pm (free parking after 6pm). Parking is also available in Princes Quay shopping centre.
There is lots of cycle parking in the city centre, including at the corner of Carr Lane and Alfred Gelder Street.
