60th Anniversary celebration gig

I'm slowly getting to grips with the early material from Visionary and Fear of the Dark. It’s an interesting experience revisiting this early stuff and try to understand my creative thoughts patterns way back then. Tunes like Roots Part 2 bring back fond memories. I hadn't played that part in years as it was purely an ensemble piece.

My MD Dave Bainbridge is doing a sterling job of work arranging these pieces for some of our guests to be a part of.

My pal Mark found and amazing clip of me on YouTube playing Reflections and Despair and Heartsong on The Old Grey Whistle Test from Oct 25th 1977. I have to say it warmed my heart to see me playing my now iconic John Bailey twin neck. It sounded great and I looked like I knew what I was doing!

The band was Dave Barfield on drums Dave MacDonald on bass and Rod Edwards and Eddie Spence on keys.

WONDERFUL memories. Not sure who that clean shaven dark haired curly headed guy was on guitar.!!

Cropredy Festival

Cropredy this year was as lovely as ever with the usual array of incredible talent and in spite of the weather we had a wonderful time.

New Guitar

Yet another little gem bought from a car boot sale for the sum of £10.

With a bit of firtling and the addition of new strings and a pickup I think this little beauty will sound surprisingly good through a PA system.!!
