Sharing Day 8th Sept 2018

Sharing Day 8th Sept 2018

I'm delighted to welcome old friends and new to what hopefully will be a fun and informative day sharing my thoughts with you, this time at the Castle Park Arts Centre, Frodsham, Cheshire.

The plan is for a relatively short morning recital from yours truly and then a look at the chosen piece for the day ANIA’S DREAM from THE LAST OF ENGLAND, my latest album.

Tab for the chosen piece – will be emailed to you well in advance.

Unfortunately Martin Pleass is now unable to attend as my special guest for the Frodsham weekend.

However, instead I'm delighted to be inviting one of the finest 12 string guitarists around, Mr Paul Brett as my special guest at the Frodsham Arts Centre Sharing Day.

Many of you will know Paul's incredible range of guitars for JHS. I am a huge fan of the Paul Brett Viator guitar and his 12 string version of the same instrument,in fact I love all the instruments he has designed for the company and have used three models on stage and in the studio for many years now.

Come along and meet this legend of the instrument for yourself.

I will be ably assisted during the day by the superb builder of bespoke electric guitars Michael Gough of MG GUITARS. He creates the most beautiful instruments from the best materials available. Michael will also be on hand to discuss guitar set ups and give you an insight into how he does it. Apart from being a gifted builder Michael is also a very fine guitarist and composer and will be more than happy to share his knowledge with you. He's a lovely chap and good friend.

During the remainder of the day I shall be on hand to ask any questions about technique, equipment, composition, performance, you name it!

There will be an evening concert, open to the public which will start at 19:30 - cost £15 (free for Sharing Day attendees)

The fee is £100 to be paid by bank transfer in advance of the event.

Bookings, any questions or problems should be directed to Sue Holton via ggiltrap+sharingday@gmail.com not the Arts Centre.
