HOFNER COMMITTEE REPAIR/SERVICE?

Postby chicowhite » Tue May 15, 2007 2:50 pm

Hi,
I live in Tamworth, Staffs and want to know if there is a reputable person that can repair/service my Hofner Committee 1963 guitar.
I know Gordon Giltrap has had his done in the past. Any one out there able to give me suggestions.
Many thanks
Chico

Hi Chico,

How are you pal, long time eh!

There are three people I can recommend. One is Trevor at PMT 0121 359 5003.The other people are Alan Exley who is a great electronics person and also does Hofner spares..01527 459545,and finally Roger Williams who is in Lichfield (fairly close to you) 01543 262543. For major woodworking repairs Roger is your man, Trev is great at refrets and electronic stuff as is Alan. You make the choice sir,it all depends on what's required!

Be Well.

Gordon.

Hi Chico,

I don't know the others but I know Alan Exley has worked on a few of my guitars and has done a great quality job.
