GG Guitar collection

After seeing your 12-string for sale on ebay and the other guitars you have advertised at The Music Store, I'm just wondering how you decide when the time has come to say goodbye to a particular guitar. Is it a question of how often a guitar is used, storage space, making way for new additions or just moving on generally? Also, how many guitars do you have in your collection at present and how often are you aproached by manufacturers to try out new products?

We really enjoyed the live broadcast by Glastonbury Radio. The sound was really good, as were the choice of tunes and of course the "chat". Only my attempts at playing along to some pieces spoilt it for Em

Finally, hope you don't mind the photo I'm using at the moment, which is one taken at The Great British Beer Festival of 2005. That was a great day, particularly in the context of what was going on at the time.

Best wishes,

Roger (&Em)

Hi Roger.

I know this sounds vague but in all honesty I don't know EXACTLY at this point in time how many I have in the collection! I would guess at about 30 maybe, but most of them are for sale at my pal Neil's shop, and not all are listed as it was only recently that I bit the bullet and took a few more down there.

What is dictating the guitar sales at the moment is the issue of space...I'm just running out of storage! I am very lucky to have such a wonderful selection of guitars to chose from, and you may have noticed that in the main the constant ones are the ones I use on stage.

I acquire these guitars, enjoy them for a few years and then if I feel that they have served their purpose I move them on and give someone else the pleasure of them.

At the moment the Harmony is on E-Bay but in all honesty I doubt if it will reach the reserve I'm asking, and if it doesn't go I shant be too upset as it is a HUGE part of my history from my teenage years up to the present time, best part of 40 years!

SO glad you enjoy the Glastonbury gig. In my ignorance it didn't dawn on my that it was going out 'live', I thought it was being recorded for broadcast for a later date... :?

Good to hear from you both again by the way, and that photo is fine my friend, and a memory of a good day.

Be Well.

In fairness Gordon, it was advertised as being broadcast at a later date, so you weren't the only one who wasn't aware of this.

Hi Gordon
Do you have any plans to have a gallery of the guitars you own with a few well chosen comments etc on the website at any time?
