Re: VISIONARY (Esoteric CD) mastering / pressing fault?

Hi Steve,

I think that my copy of the remastered Visionary was OK. Cannot check it now, as I sent it to the Polish National Radio Programme 3 some time ago.

All the best,
Piotr (also a big fan of the Visionary)

Iron Maiden (will be) in Wrocław next year

I remember liking their "Run to the Hills" song a lot in my student's days, but now they are coming to town, my town. Iron Maiden founder member Dave Murray is Gordon's fan http://giltrap.co.uk/news/f/archives/General_News/2948 and it seems that he made a definitive description of the beau...

Shady Tales played by Polish guitarist Witold Żuromski

Witold Żuromski - a talented Polish guitarist (born in 1977) who has collaborated with many of our best musicians recorded his rendition of Gordon's "Shady Tales" back in 1998/1999 (on his CD "Witek Żuromski - Akustycznie"). One of the tracks on the CD is Django Reinhard's Nuages...

Re: Dodo's Dream

Hello, I love Dodo's Dream and have had the priviledge to hear it live on three occassions - every time I had goosbumps, but the first time (in St. Ives in 2011) will always be THE live version for me. The recordings with the full band: my favourite is the version from The Band Live 1981. The Dodo's...

Be well.

Dear Gordon,

This would make many fans very happy (especially in one city where Revelation, Lucifer's Cage, The Echoing Green are cherished by quite a number of very lucky people).

Get well soon!

Revelation

Hello, "Revelation" has a special place in my memory - it was one of the tunes that have stayed with me since the first time I heard it back in 1981. I am aware of several versions of Revelation with the flute, the "vocal chords" or the saxophone creating different atmosphere on ...

Re: Quest - a quick summer poll

Thank you Piotr, ' Eye Of The Wind ' It is an orchestral piece without guitar. I was just asking if you or anyone else would consider the joint, Classical/Giltrap, market would be commercial with this composition. I know that all performing artists have a loyal following for their own style but thi...

Re: Quest - a quick summer poll

Hello John, Your post made me think whether point d) in the poll was written correctly (i.e. was Gordon really playing the guitar on the recording of the Eye of the Wind). It seems that this was my imagination to see him with the orchestra. Sorry for the mistake: Gordon says, that as far as h...

Quest - a quick summer poll

Hello, I have encountered three versions of Quest so far, and I must say that I like this song very much. Each of the versions has its special moments and it is a joy to listen to them all, but just for fun we could share the views on the favourite one. Here is a quick poll :-) Which is your favouri...

Fylde Guitars

Hello, In the recent Fylde Guitars newsletter sent to me by Sue (thanks so much Sue!), I could spot two guitarist from Poland: Leszek Cichoński and Adam Palma (http://www.fyldeguitars.com/index.html).
