Re: GOOD BUDGET GUITARS - sub £100 - let's not overlook them

Oldbones, Very true - my Tele copy was bought as a project guitar and I'd have been pleased if for £39 I'd just had a useable body and pick ups! As regards the Chord this video might interest you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64JWNC72ZiA There is a guitar shop in Warwick where the owner has been ...

Re: GOOD BUDGET GUITARS - sub £100 - let's not overlook them

Oldbones, I have a Harrier Mistral, which cost £39.99 from ebay. It's a Tele copy. Although this guitar isn't perfect by any means, what it has done has made me appreciate the Tele as a guitar - very simple design, comfortable to play and some great tones too! I have fitted a Trev Wilkinson bridge a...

Re: Roland vs Blackstar

Just to let you all know that I bought a Microcube GX quite recently, s/h, but in as new condition for £75. This and the fact that it runs on batteries swayed me towards the Roland in the end. Very impressed so far, but still a lot to explore.

Thanks to all for the advice,

Roger

Roger,

There is a nice tribute on Oliver's page which tells the story behind the Mr Kyps appearance:

Re: John Wetton

Hi Roger Yes very sad news. I saw John Wetton play several times over the years, usually in association with Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry. However the last time I saw him perform live was in 2014 at Mr Kyps in Poole during the "Ravens and Lullabies" tour. Shortly before Gordon, Oliver and their ...

Re: Vintage VE2000GG 12 string - my experience

Oldbones, Just like you I have been playing a lot more ukulele than guitar recently. I'd thought about buying a ukulele lots of times, but around this time last year I saw a Puretone soprano in a charity shop going for £1.50! Although the colour was not the best (pink!), it was in good condition and...

Re: Vintage VE2000GG 12 string - my experience

Oldbones, I would like to add my condolences to those already posted. All too often Xmas is seen as a magical and happy time of year, but for many folks it is anything but and unfortunately they can be forgotten. It sounds as if your beloved wife has faced a long battle against cancer. May she rest ...

Hi Piotr

Would have loved to have listened to this interview if I had known about it. How did you find out about it?

All the best,

Re: Help with Avatars

Hi Tom I'm currently using Firefox (50.1.0) as my browser and can get to the avatar option. Try getting the User Control Panel up on your screen, and then clicking on the Profile tab. After you've done this click on the CONCERTS link on the top left hand side of the screen. EDIT AVATARS should then ...

New Signature

Hi Sue

I'm getting a bit bored of my signature and would like to change it! However, unless I'm missing something there doesn't appear to be an option to do this. Any advice please?

Thanks,

Roger
