Re: When / where did you first see Gordon play?
Hi Kev. Thankyou so much for that beautiful posting. I’m deeply touched by your amazing story.Believe it or not I didn’t own an electric guitar at the time of recording Visionary!I borrowed a very nice Telecaster for the recording.I have no idea who owned it or where it came from.I think the solo ma...

Re: Fret King Gordon Giltrap Mk 1 neck dimensions at 12th fret
Hello sir. I have to confess that in my ignorance I-have no idea of the neck width, things like that have never really concerned me.If a neck feels comfortable and the instrument sounds good then I play it.I was sorry to hear that you are having hand problems so the feel of the neck would be of utmos...

Re: Bass player on 1973 album Giltrap
As far as I know my old friend Alan Hall doesn’t appear on any other albums. The Bass player on the majority of the remaining tracks was Brian Belshaw an old friend of Nicko Mcbrain from Iron Maiden.Brian was originally in a band called Blossom Toes.

Re: Nut width – VE2000GG vs VE2000DLX
Hello Doug. I dont have a GG 2000 to compare nut width to the GG DLX.In all honesty I'm not too fussed about neck widths providing they arent too narrow. The GG 2000 has it's own character sound which is very lively and the deluxe is warmer and richer and of course is superior because of the chosen s...

Re: Nylon strung guitars
I could not agree with you more. Sadly many companies don't have the time to set up instruments when they leave the warehouse. Most guitars need setting up to a players individual requirements. I always set up my own guitars in a sort of intuitional way but it works for me but I have been doing it f...
