Re: GOOD BUDGET GUITARS - sub £100 - let's not overlook them
Most of the posts seem to relate to budget electric guitars being good value. Not being an electric ma, can't comment but it seems to me more difficult to get a good sounding/playing accoustic guitar for that price. See my previous article re nylon strung accoustic guitars... for value for a classic...

Re: Nylon strung guitars
Back in the late 1960's when I first starting playing and singing, one of my mates had an accoustic guitar with a massive body - can't remember the name - but with nylon strings.... It was obviously a steel-strung instrument - it had a narrow non-classical guitar neck. Have not seen such an instumen...

John Mayall concert in Norwich
Always had a wide musical interest , in many different genres, more specific pieces of music or songs rather than favouring one style or artist. Had never attended a complete concert of blues music so went out on a limb, on the basis of his reputation, to see John Myall and his band. Having attended...

Hi... Came online to this website a couple of weeks ago. Without regurgitating the same musical background stuff, you can see my recent posts on the Concerts and guitar related fora.... Suffice to say that was singing/gigging accoustic guitarist from late 60's - mid 90's, dropped off playing guitar ...

Re: Gordon's concerts 2018
Gordon... many thanks. Will keep checking.... !!!! Just picked up that you are doing a concert in Chepstow late April next year. Now that one IS doable.... !!! Until I moved to Norfolk 8 years ago, most of my life was in Gloucesteshire and latterly the Forest of Dean. As I make an annual 'pilgrimage...

Gordon's concerts 2018
Hi. I've picked up on a concert in Norfolk later this year in a somewhat obscure little village... sadly won't be able to make it. Any concerts scheduled for 2018 in a reasonable radius of Norwich or in a reasonable radius of Cheltenham in May 2018 ?

Re: Taylor 562ce 12 string ... Is there such a thing as a civilised 12 string?
Hi. Yes, I think there is such a things as a 'civilised' 12-string guitar. I started playing and singing in the late 60's.... I had various guitars : a BandM classical, Aria classical, an Italian Eros 12s. Loved the Eros but it got knicked after a gig. Had to find another quick and being young and n...

The Anthology album
Glad to have picked up on this website.. Rekindled my long-held admiration for Gordon's music and particularly, his expertise as in my view , one of the best accoustic guitarists I've heard, and I've a few good ones in my 45 years as an albeit non-professional singer/accoustic guitarist.. Over the y...
