Most people who have heard of him just think of him as the Roxy Music guitarist (pretty good in itself!). In fact he's done a lot of solo stuff, has composed music for Roxy and others, including Pink Floyd, and has many production credits too, including the recent output from David Gilmour. Have a l...

FOD on Express FM!

Gordon, Late night for me tonight - I've just got back from doing an interview on Express FM (my radio debut!) about all things GG! I've recently been asking my old mate Geoff Peters, who does the 10 'till midnight slot, to play some of your material, but they don't have any. So Geoff invited me in,...

Just listened to the programme. Very interesting, particularly the bit about a young Bert trying to make his own guitar! Nice to hear Phil Manzanera too, another guy who doesn't always get the recognition that he deserves.

Hi Robert, Welcome aboard! As a fan of Simon Phillips you may be interested to know that he played on the 801 Live album during the 70's. It's a great album, with Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music guitarist), Brian Eno and Simon all on great form. The following links may be of interest: http://www.amazon.c...

Paul Auden

Gordon, We arrived home from holiday today, somewhat tired and fed-up after the journey home from hell. However, my feelings were put into perspective after looking at your site and finding out that Paul Auden had died. I never met or spoke to Paul, but I have a lot to thank him for. About five year...

RIP Richard Wright

"Richard Wright, a founder member of Pink Floyd, has died at the age of 65. The self-taught pianist and keyboardist died after a short battle with cancer. Wright wrote music with the legendary band for classic albums like the Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here. His spokesman said: &qu...

Russ and Ash, I can only apologise as I thought I had already replied to this posting - old age, alcohol, memory going etc etc ?! Anyway, I really enjoyed what I've heard so far. It's great to hear such young guys playing this type of music and playing it so well. Just wondering which guitar Ash is ...

Ropetackle Centre, Shoreham

Gordon, Just wondering what the format is for Saturday night, such as what time are you on and how long are you playing for. If we can get across we will, as it's ages since we've seen you and Hilary, and seen you perform. Also, Em wants to talk to you about a certain piece of music and if possible ...

Peter, I have a Cort X2 which sells for less than £200 and I'm pleased with it, but like the Ibanez the neck is ideal for my small hands and short fingers, so it may not suit you! Remember that Gordon has played a Farida Telecaster copy in the recent past on Dodos Dream and these sell for less than ...

Russ,

Unfortunately it's looking a little unlikely now, but we would like to get to see you and Ash play sometime.

Good luck with the gig.

All the best,

Roger (&Em)
