hi gordon.i really enjoyed reading your thoughts on fylde and ovation guitars that appeared in the newsletter it certainly answered a few questions that i had on the subject!i readily admit that iv'e had a bit of a passion for ovations for quite a long time and this is heavily influenced by yourself...

elegy tuning

Thank heavens for that tuning info gordon! iv'e been trying to figure it out for ages.i think it's probably my favourite of all and as you say it really needs the right mood.to me it's about as good as it gets and i'm sure nany on the forum would agree.best regards scott

hi gordon, i have recently been listening to live at oxford quite alot and am going to have a look at an ovation folklore in a local guitar shop.i have always liked your tone from this period and wondered if the folklore would have featured in your playing around this period?best regards.

i agree with you russ.for live work i play an ovation which has a certain sound of it's own which i like rather than trying to get a perfect acoustic sound live with fx or adding pickups to my wooden acoustic.i liked the tone gordon used to get when he played ovations which prompted me to buy one.al...
