Harrier Guitars

Anyone heard of this company, which is selling Chinese Teles and Strats (even "lefties"!) for less than £60? I thought the Farida Tele was cheap, but....!

All the best,

Roger

As it Happens.........

Gordon,

We've just got 'round to buying a copy of "As it Happens" (bit late after the event we know!) and are playing it now. What great memories of what was a very special night (and w/e for that matter).

Best to you and Hilary,

Roger & Em(x)

Gordon, I agree with Bob on this one - in fact, I could have written his reply! I've never seen the point of cover versions that are pretty much the same as the original anyway, but believe that they should reflect a person's sound, style and general approach to playing, music etc. Something I learn...

Yes, it's that day again, which has added importance for us because it's my Dad's Birthday - 82 today and still going strong - happy Birthday Dad!!

I think you'll find it's also the Birthday of William Shakespeare today.

Best to everyone,

Roger (from the sickbed, but on a nice new PC!)

Russ, Yes it was a very nice weekend away thanks, our first of 2008 due to car problems. Some of our friends who run a pub/B&B in Bridport are retiring next month, so a few of us stayed with them for probably the last time (at the pub anyway). Two of us have Birthdays 'round about this time, so ...

Hi Gordon,

We'd like to add our belated Birthday wishes. We were down in Bridport for the weekend and couldn't find an internet cafe. Anyway, hope you had a very enjoyable day.

Love and best wishes,

Roger & Em (X)

Gordon, It's interesting that you mention John Gustafson. I first came across him with Roxy Music, as he played on three of their 70's albums and also toured with them a few times (I saw him playing with them in 1975). I always liked his playing. I wonder what he's doing these days? One of my more m...

Bass Players

Gordon,

I guess that in the days of the GG band you must have recorded and performed with quite a few bass players. Who did you enjoy working with, both as people and musicians?

Thanks,

Roger

New Farida Guitars

Gordon, Just wondering if you have any plans to have a look at the new Farida electrics, which are based on the Tele and the Slimline Tele? I was watching a version of Dodo's where you use your Farida and it certainly has sound that is fitting for the piece, particularly as it is so inexpensive. Any...

Hi Russ!

Our PC is now fixed (as is our central heating - pity about the car!).

If you want to post some contact details or send a private message I'ii try to get the knobs sent to you over the weekend.

All the best,

Roger
