Re: JAMES HERBERT RIP.

I recently attended the funeral of a very dear friend Gordon, just days before his 46th birthday. Coincidentally, we first met in person, a couple of hours prior to attending one of your gigs. He was a very keen and accomplished guitarist and was a great admirer of yours. Difficult and emotional tim...

Really disappointed to have missed this one. It's not often that you play this close to my home town Gordon, but as I didn't have access to the website for several months, I was unaware of the gig.

Any chance you'll be returning in the near future?

Best regards,

Mick

Good to be back!

Hello Gordon, I have been without a pc for some while now and although I was able to access your website via my mobile phone, I couldn't link to the forum. To my delight, I have just managed to regain access and it's a huge relief to be back. I trust you are keeping well and hope to catch up with yo...

"Piano Textures" - Bruno Sanfilippo.

For those unfamiliar with Bruno, he is a talented Argentinian musician (based in Spain). This album concentrates on ambient soundscapes using mainly piano and cello and is reminiscent of Brian Eno and Harold Budd. Essential listening!

Ropetackle Centre - Shoreham

Hello Gordon, I note with disappointment that the planned gig for the Ropetackle Centre, Shoreham (Mar. 29th), has been postponed. Is there any further news regarding a revised date, or are you planning a gig at a different venue? My wife and I have been waiting patiently for you to play a gig near ...

Thanks Gordon, your kind words are much appreciated. In truth, you make it very easy for us all to be fans. It's not just the fantastic music, but the time and effort you put into adding that extra personal touch, by chatting to us all at the gigs and replying to our posts on this site. You are a tr...

Thanks for all your suggestions everyone. Since neither Mike or I are musicians the multi track side of things would not be used. I really need a bit more free time ( whats that ??? ) to compare and understand all the specs and come to a final conclusion. The new M Audio would be very tempting if I...

Hi Sue,

I have no direct experience of these recorders, but having read the reviews, I would suggest the Zoom H2 is more than capable of delivering the level of performance you require. The lower price and greater portability, also count hugely in it's favour.

Hi Pete. I promise MUCH new material in 2008 like you have never heard before, but in the meantime I hope that folk will be interested in THREE new pieces on the Valentine album. Worry not sir, I haven't dried up just yet...grin.. :D Regards. G. Will these be incorporated in your live performances ...

Sue's correct, it's a tough call. I seriously got into Gordon's work with Visionary, Perilous Journey and FOTD, but Perilous Journey holds the fondest memories, so that got my vote.

Thanks Gordon. It's always great to hear new pieces, as well as the established favourites. I look forward to hearing Ring of Kerry and the new albums.
