Great pics. Sorry about the short set, usually my concerts end up like the Ken Dodd show....grin... :D I was after all sharing the bill with some excellent musicians if you remember. Thanks again for these stunning pics which I shall tell Roger Bucknall about. Best. G. Thanks Gordon. I did have my ...

I have posted some photos from this concert on my photo site. Gordon played a superb, if short, set, and the night was only spoiled for me by the memory card in my camera going faulty :( It was also my first chance to see, (and hear), THAT Fylde. :D Well; I have now managed to restore most of the im...

I've still got the 12" LP of 'A Testament of Time' which includes Catwalk Blues - though my turntable is in the loft

Many of GG tracks evolve as time passes, like all things, except in his case it's nearly always for the better :)

We were fortunate to come and see you on that tour. It was up in Northumberland, (I believe it was in Alnwick - but I could be wrong, my memory isn't what it was). The music that night was superb, and I was lucky to have GG sign my copy of the 1st album. You seemed to be intrigued as to where I got ...

Love your photos 'Musicman' and hoping that Gordon will offer me the same kindness when we see him at Greenham Arts in September. It's a great centre, a real 'swords into ploughshares' place, having a great music venue, attached to a good curry-house, where once cruise missiles were based  Any...

there are some videos at: http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.aspx?ObjectId=849 (click on the video button just below the vg-99 image) I do believe I got a CD or DVD demo from Roland themselves (I'm registered with them as I've got a GR-33) but until I finish painting/decorating the stud...

The new sony PCM D50 is the (somewhat expensive) dog's botox ;) It hasn't been released in the UK yet but is list-priced at $599 in the US - I bet it's more than £300 when it gets here though :( mind you - it's the replacement for the D1 which is priced at £1500 ish (it's $499 at musiciansfriend - t...

M-Audio MICROTRACK II Two friends have had the Microtrack 1, both had problems with the battery dying. It wasn't user removable / replaceable and you had to return the machine for an expensive replacement - the battery was only guaranteed for 6 months too, so both have got rid of it although they t...

I'd agree that the Korg PXR4 is a great machine, but I would probably consider the newer Korg D4 as it uses compact flash cards rather than the smart-media, which have a lower 'ceiling' of capacity. (not really relevant, but I've been using a Korg D16 for years, and I'm very happy with it.) The cons...

I first heard GG on John Peel's Sunday afternoon radio programme, 'Top Gear'. Fortunately a friend of mine had recorded it on his reel-to-reel, and we spent hours listening and re-listening to Lucifer's Cage, so I guess this must be 1969-ish. I went in search of the album but could ' only ' find the...

Hi BB, welcome to the Forum. On the old version of Gordon's website there was a thread about microphones and positioning which I preserved for this site. You can find it via the News section ( Guitar Anoraks pages) It included an article I found from Sound on Sound which others here have found usef...
