Recent gigs

This year has been quite busy for me as far as watching gigs is concerned. Just after my birthday, at the end of March, my wife and I went to see Steven Wilson. For the uninitiated, he's the force behind prog bands like Porcupine Tree and projects like No-Man. These days, he's turned his craft towar...

Re: Musical tastes are personal and varied

Absolutely, it's personal - imagine if we all liked only the same things!! My own musical tastes started to develop in the late 60s (I was born 1961). Until then, I'd listened to my mum's and my dad's music which was a heady mix of Mario Lanza, Frank Sinatra and Elvis. All good but didn't fl...

Country to Country 2018

My wife's employer has a box at the O2. When it's not being used for corporate events, they put the seats up for grabs - for a donation to their preferred charities. We were lucky to obtain tickets to last Sunday's C2C event. Now, "country" is not my favourite musical genre. I don't dislik...

Gordon's Video

Just a quick query.....

I've just noticed that there's a tutorial video (hopefully now as a DVD) in the discography section. Is this suitable for beginners and, if so, is it still available, please?

Many thanks in advance....

Re: Anyone with an interest in travel keen on exchanging experiences/ideas etc etc ??? A keen on discussing travel ???

My wife and I never had kids. Therefore, although we know we will have missed out in some ways, we've had more time to spend together and travel (combined with a love of photography) has become a serious interest. We haven't travelled as extensively as the OP but we've had great trips to Kenya, Sri ...

Hello from Essex

Hi There. I'm not sure if this is the right place for introductions, so please feel free to move / remove if it isn't. I'm a 56 year old keen a amateur photographer and music fan. I like most types of music from "classic" classical (not much into avant-garde / modern stuff) to heavy metal....
