The CatStrand, Dumfries and Galloway's newest arts and community venue, opened on Friday 21 September 2007 with a ten-day celebration of music, film, theatre, comedy and community events.
Programmed and managed by the Glenkens Community & Arts Trust, The CatStrand takes its name from the small stream that ran through, and now under the building. The venue incorporates a number of energy efficient and renewable energy components and has been named as "Scotland's Greenest Arts Venue."
There will also be a Guitar Workshop at 3.00pm - tickets for the workshop are £4 and will be available seperately.
Tickets for the performance programme in the CatStrand Theatre can be booked online and paid for by credit or debit card, at The Booth online ticket agency Click here
Tickets can also be reserved by phone on 01644 420374. Tickets which have been reserved by phone must be paid for within 3 working days or they may be sold on.

At 3.00pm, Gordon will be running a guitar workshop with a limited number of tickets available. Main concert will be at 8.oopm.
The workshop will include the use of open tunings, useful finger exercise, guitar maintenance and equipment and a question and answer session where Gordon will be speaking about his 40 year career as a professional musician.
Price of workshop £4. Tickets for the concert are £8, available separately.
