St. George's Day!

Postby Roger » Mon Apr 23, 2012 10:51 pm

Just like to wish my Dad Stan (86) and his Brother Ron (83) Happy Birthday on St. George's Day! A notable day for William Shakespeare too - apparently he was born and also died on this day!

Best to all,

Roger(&Em)

Gordon,

Unfortunately we couldn't be with Dad on his Birthday, but spent the weekend before with him. We all watched the original version of "The Italian Job" together on the Saturday evening - still a great film, and relevant to Dad as he was very involved with the original "Mini" during his working days :D

Hi Tom - you're in good company then! William Shakespeare was born and died on the 23rd, while my Dad (90 this year) and his last surviving brother also have their Birthdays on this date! On a sad note note the 23rd is the anniversary of the passing of Ian Nelson (Red Noise), brother of the great Bill Nelson.

As a radio person can I suggest that you tune in to Express FM tonight via the internet (http://www.expressfm.com) or via digital radio between 8 and 10. My mates Geoff Peters and Gary Burnett do a great request show with a quiz too - brilliant stuff :)

All the best,

Roger

Hi Roger....

Oh dear, I'm so sorry but I missed the show. I'll try and catch that up sometime.

so I share my birthday with William Shakesphere.... "To be.... or not to be!"
