As a long-time fan of Roxy Music, I was saddened to hear of the death of their original bassist Graham Simpson, who passed away on Monday 16th April aged 68. A tribute to him can be found here:

Re: Graham Simpson RIP
SO Sad.
Johnny Gustafson was of course my only link with Roxy apart from my new friend Neil Hubbard who has worked with Brian and the band for many years.
RIP Graham.

Re: Graham Simpson RIP
Gordon,
Thinking about it Simon Phillips also links you to Roxy Music as he played with Phil Manzanera and Brian Eno on the 801 Live Album (1976). He featured on some of Phil's solo albums as well
Best to you and Hilary,
Roger

Roger,
Simon Phillips links Gordon with just about EVERYONE in the entire music business!!!! I recall seeing him playing drums back in 1982 for, of all people, Toyah!!!!
Sad to hear about Graham Simpson's passing. It's been a year of tragic losses to the music scene already this year.

Trevor,
Perhaps I should have said a very young Simon Phillips Anyway, 801 Live is an excellent album and I think most forum regulars know my thoughts about FOTD
Roger
PS Simon playing for Toyah - so we have a link between Gordon and Robert Fripp
