Re: Holmfirth Picturedrome - 16th November

Hi Gordon,

Can we be cheeky and put in an early request for the 12 string Fylde to make a reappearance at Bramall? It has such a fine, orchestral sound, it seems to fit so well with the venue.

Re: Holmfirth Picturedrome - 16th November

Hi Gordon, Indeed you will see us before Christmas! Our tickets for Bramall Hall are lying by the keyboard right now! Now there's a venue! We think the Hall; the proximity to Christmas; the intimate auditorium, always make that a very special evening. We are really looking forward to seeing you ther...

Holmfirth Picturedrome - 16th November

As soon as we spotted Gordon was coming to our home town we had to book! Especially as we spend much of the year in Greece these days, and don't get as many opportunities to see the maestro as we used to. Although we saw Gordon with Rick in Birmingham, this was the first chance to see Oliver. What a...

Bramall Hall

Thank you Gordon! Another great concert, and actually we thought it was one of your best. OK, you probably didn’t mean to end one of the tunes the way it went, but it didn’t detract one jot for us. There were some old favourites of course, Maddie Goes West sounds so full and rich on the Fylde 12 str...

Hi Gordon, Thank you for another great concert - we both had a great time. Bramall Hall is such super venue and seems to lend itself to Christmas as well. The light-hearted banter was there as usual to keep us smiling throughout. Also there were some favourite guitars, thank you for bringing the 12 ...

Bramall Hall Dec 2008

Hi Gordon,

We're both looking forward to Wednesday, and the mincepies!

Any chance the Fylde and or the Secret Valentine might get an outing?

Birmingham birthday gig

It was always going to be a special concert. It did not disappoint. If you had any pretensions to liking guitar music in almost any of its forms then you had no excuse but to be enthralled. Ray’s precision, John’s passion and Gordon’s consummate mastery, were there to delight and envelope you. And t...

Birmingham birthday gig

Hi Gordon, Nervous? Perhaps that's your modesty showing through. You will have an audience 100% behind you though! Once you feel that support ... We're thoroughly looking forward to it. Any chance the Secret Valentine Guitar might make an appearance? You were kind enough to respond to our request fo...

Another great evening! Thank you so much Gordon & Hilary. Of course it was the usual tour de force of guitar playing, and there were some old favourites throughout, but seasonal spice came in the nature of some new pieces too. And what a super venue. A beautiful building, decked out tastefully f...

Dear Gordon,

Super news, thank you very much! And a great choice, Maddie Goes West, one of Chris's favourites.

Now we're looking forward to Wednesday even more than before!

Bramall Hall, Stockport

Hi Gordon, Commitments mean we haven’t been able to get to one of your concerts since Barton in June! So we have really been looking forward to Wednesday at Bramall Hall … for ages! We understand why the Secret Valentine guitar is getting plenty of attention, and would be fascinated to hear it, but ...

Barton Carnival Inn, 8th June

Hi Gordon, I am very sorry to hear about your uncle. I spoke to him a fair bit most days while I was at the school. He was consistently friendly and just a pleasure to talk with. Looking back, I realise my prolonged use of the darkroom after school must have inconvenienced him, but he never did anyt...

Barton Carnival Inn, 8th June

Dear Gordon, We know ‘Sad Skies’ comes from the ‘Band’ era, but we thought it sounded like it could transfer to the solo stage fairly easily. Nonetheless ‘Roots’ was a fine reminder! Those early albums were much played in the first house we had together. As to the ‘early days’ thing, we both went to...

Barton Carnival Inn, 8th June

Thank you Gordon for another super evening’s entertainment! We thought the session last night at the Carnival Inn was great. You were on top form! Excellent music, excellent playing, and that straightforward laid back humour. The feeling you put into the playing, particularly of ‘Lucifer’s cage’ and...
