Hi, I've received a reply from Roger Bucknall( Mr Fylde Guitars), and he confirms the guitar's existance. He also confirms that it was John James ( I saw Gordon around the same time and at the same venue - which caused the confusion, well, that's my excuse).

Apologies, on second thoughts it might have been John James!
Anyway, I've sent an email to Roger. Let's hope his memory is better than mine!

Gordon, how do you achieve a balance of sound between the plec and pinky?
I play a lot using a plec and two fingers ( sometimes three) and I'm very conscious of the plec producing a louder, harder sound.

When I said right hand fingering, I meant how Gordon uses the plec and little finger. Sometimes, I swear Gordon must be using some of his other fingers as well!

Gordon's right hand techique.

Where's the best source for info on Gordon's unique right hand technique?
I'd love to have the tab for one of Gordon's pieces with the right hand fingering shown. Does such a thing exist?

You're wrong there Gordon. Have a chat with Roger at Fylde - he'll refresh your memory!

I first saw Gordon playing at Les Cousins in Soho sometime in the 60s. I remember thinking that he didn't look too comfortable on the stage; of course, he was singing back then and I think he lacked confidence in his vocal numbers. The next time I saw Gordon - a few years later - it was like seeing ...

Where's that guitar now?

I remember seeing Gordon playing in Liverpool years ago, and he performed a number on a very original Fylde guitar ( I think Roger of Fylde guitars was in the audience that night); anyway, the guitar in question had no back to it! Infact it had two fronts - and two necks. Gordon would play a bit on ...

Dadgad book

How about collecting all Gordon's compositions in Dadgad tuning and putting them all in one book!
Dadgad is a very popular tuning and I'm sure such a publication would be well received!
