Re: Announcement Sept 2015

Good to see Paul Brett's photo of Gordon leaning on a lamppost yesterday. No ukulele in sight, but happy he is out and about.

Re: Announcement Sept 2015

Semi retirement huh? What a good idea, sorry it seems to have been forced on you though. Hope they get on with your treatment and get you onto the road to recovery soon. Been difficult to keep this quiet but I managed it, glad you have gone public. All the old Deptford friends know and join Jill &am...

Woody Guthrie Still Relevant Today

Went to Church last night, don’t usually do that, but if you ever get the chance to see this guy and his 'Live documentary' on Woody Guthrie please go. I have had a great nights entertainment, he is a great singer as well as terrific guitarist and knows his subject very well. Would thoroughly recomm...

Chris Squire

Sad to learn of the passing of founder member of YES Chris Squire. RIP.

I remember you introducing me to their music with Close to the Edge.

Sorry to post this on your Sunday Night at the London Palladium performance, but I know you will understand.

Re: Paul Simon & Sting

They truly complimented each other, doing brilliant solo versions of each others songs, and showing a very sincere mutual respect. Cannot praise this enough, and will repeat that the opportunity to see such a great double act is diminishing. Not to give too much away but they do a lot together. I kn...

Paul Simon & Sting

Looking on this forum there are sadly too many RIP quotes, justly deserved maybe. I would just like to say Jill & I went to the O2 on Wednesday night and saw this amazing performance of a great but unlikely pair. A touching reminder to our finite time on this earth was when Paul, I think changed...

Re: John Renbourn RIP.

As I have said before, you were over the moon when John got an early copy of your first LP and told you how much he liked it.

The passing of another great legend, diminishing the pool of Genius.

RIP

Just back from the Royal Festival Hall and must say that Gordon's tribute to Loren was beautiful and fitted the occasion perfectly

Re: When / where did you first see Gordon play?

Told you I had forgotten a lot of the sixties & seventies!

By the time we got to Top of the Pops 'Pans People' had turned into 'Legs & Co', according to a recent rerun of the program

Looking forward to seeing you at the Royal Festival Hall, if the tickets turn up!

Re: Bert Jansch Celebration

Once we saw you were included in the line-up Jill moved Heaven and Earth to get us tickets. Not easy as it is a sell out. So ferry booked, tickets booked, now can I find my way back to the South Bank errh Royal Festival Hall? Remind me, did we used to live near there once upon a time? Looking forwar...
